Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Dad,
Thanks for making me cry this morning from such a sweet text from you.... I miss you and the family EVERY DAY. And every night, I too, look at the stars and remember all the nights sitting out back growing up and later as an adult star gazing. I read the poem you wrote me in my book of constellations when I was younger over and over again, I love you.

Dear Shawn T (Insanity Instructor),
My body aches because of you. It hurts (so good) to just sit down. I've joined a "Hot for the Holiday's" Challenge group and your motivation is getting me there! Between you and my husband kicking my ass I'm looking forward to dropping a little more weight and toning up. Thank you!

Dear Washing Machine,
You suck. You are going to replaced. Not sorry to break it to you but we've decided you've "got to go!"

Dear Hours in a Day,
How do you pass so quickly?!?! When I had a job away from the house you couldn't seem to speed up at times. Now that I am home you won't slow down!

Dear Apple Company,
Why the freak do I have to have WiFi to do facetime with family now? What if I wanted to connect with them where there was no WiFi? Your updated system sucks, you are the only one's out there with it like this now. Get your shit together, thanks!

Dear Man-Child,
After sitting with your teacher for a parent conference yesterday you continue to impress me! While you are learning and growing you will always be my baby boy, my first true love. Stop trying to grow up so quickly, you will come to miss these days of little responsibility and worries.

Dear Hubby,
I love you jerkface. ;) You complete me and we compliment each other so well. Thank you for being our everything and being so involved with our boys. I love that you are so dedicated to work AND our family. You are truly an inspiration.

Dear Hubby,
I am so proud of you in so many ways. Proud to be your wife, proud to be the mother of your son. Proud that you are an amazing father figure to our oldest, your step son, even though you treat him as your own. You are running your first Marathon this weekend, the Marine Corps Marathon,  and I am proud of you for doing so. I wish I could be there to see you race but with our teething baby, bad weather, dog being injured, and the original reason we made the decision to stay, "cost", I'm glad we came to the agreement to have us stay home. I miss you madly already! Have a fun! (But not too much fun!) ;)

Dear Teething Baby Boy,
Last week it was plums causing your bum to redden and hurt that hurt my heart. Now it is your two bottom teeth coming through that has caused you to wake up screaming... I'm sorry little man. It'll pass and you'll be causing pain with those chompers soon enough.

Dear Man-Child,
You continue to amaze me daily with your school work and continued advancement in reading. Math is a breeze for you (which you didn't get from me) and art is a subject that you love. I love receiving completely random drawings and "books" that you create. Your talking back has gotten a bit better (probably because every time you do so we take away .25 from you and your hard work to save "1 million dollars"). ;)

Dear Toby, (our male German Shepherd)
I'm so sorry you have an infection on your neck and we did not notice it until you started reeking so badly that I was forced to bathe you and came across it. Hopefully the antibiotics will clear it up fast.

Dear Storm,
Please be kind to the east coast!

Dear Weather,
Would you please make up your mind on temperature already? While I enjoy the warmth I do not enjoy near freezing temperatures, rain and then sudden summer heat within a 3 hour time span. My outfits and hair can't take much more of this.
Dear "Temporary Home",
How does your 1,000sq ft manage to need cleaning constantly? Oh, never mind, I forgot, 3 guys and 2 dogs live here who tend to think leaving a trail of their own mess is ok because someone else (me) will clean it up.
Dear 3 week vacation for the man-child,
Please be gentle and allow him to enjoy himself and not drive me completely bonkers if his friends are not available to play.
Dear Man-Child,
Tomorrow marks your 8th birthday..... Sigh.... You are too smart for your britches already and have started dismissing my hugs and kisses when taking you to school... What happened to my little boy? At least at home you still randomly come up and give me hugs and say how much you love us, this I will cherish and hold onto when you become a teenager and hate our guts.
Dear Baby Boy,
You amaze me daily with all that you learn and do. Especially the distance your spit up can travel and how absolutely hilarious you find it to be when your poop travels up your back and I call you a nasty boy like your daddy.
Dear Husband,
I love you. You have given me the best opportunity of our children's lives. Staying home is so great for our boys, and I am thankful that you are so understanding when you come home and take over the roles because I am beyond exhausted and need to unwind. While I complain about not working, you know I am just venting and love the ability to be home and raise the babes. However, I am so ready for a mini honeymoon getaway just you, me and the cell phone so I can check on the kids every 30 minutes....
